Welcome To Rainbow Learning Academy.
We know that choosing a childcare center is one of the most difficult decisions a parent must make. Children learn best through play, and our role is to set up a variety of play experiences in which we encourage your child to become more involved.
Many childcare centers do not provide the nurturing, qualified teaching staff, a variety of activities, technology and educational advantages that you want for your children. Our preschool programs are based on the principles of developmentally appropriate practice.

We help children become aware of the feelings and opinions of others by practicing safety habits and developing a feeling of trust between children and teachers.
A Typical Day is Split into two Class time,
Morning Classes and Afternoon Classes.
In the morning classes the focus is more on a group activities and circle times which will correlate to the theme of the week. In addition, we will talk about current events and life skills which might be present weather, calendars, or holidays. Finally, during the circle times, we invite kids to engage in a variety of activities which develop critical thinking skills and interaction situations between teachers and students.
The afternoon classes begin after nap/quite time. At this time kids explore classroom centered activities based on different area of development.
Not All Preschool in Bellevue are the same…
During structured-play we primarily have one group of toys, or an activity at a time in order to allow the children to concentrate fully on each thing they do. Our intent is to provide each child in our care with a perfect balance of playtime and learning experiences throughout each day. Each child is given the opportunity to develop at his or her own pace in a setting that is challenging, enjoyable, and instills a lifelong love of learning.
Happy Time in our preschool is utilized to make the children perform better. Meanwhile, we prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We also teach the children about the awareness of their surroundings and to obey the rules and care about their environment we have been given to protect. We develop the importance and awareness of being part of the community and we help them lay a strong foundation of skills necessary for future learning.
The activities the children participate in are concrete, hands-on, and encourage participation. But most of all they are fun because we believe that learning is an exciting experience. Furthermore, we know that children also learn through play because of that, we do not underestimate its importance on a growing child’s mind, body, and spirit. Therefore, the children in our Bellevue child care programs receive lots of both free and structured play throughout each day.
Our Bellevue preschool programs are based on the principles of developmentally appropriate practice. we will take great care in providing a safe, secure, and fun learning environment for your child. Who is the Teacher?
What is our Preschool class structure like?
Rainbow Learning Academy is a year-round preschool in Bellevue. Classes will be available for ages 2 to 5 years old. Currently, classes are full day preschool only. The full day preschool curriculum will be changing as we make this adjustment to all day classes.
Our preschool classes have a play-based curriculum. We aim to create a space where children can discover and explore. We have many hands-on activities that get students involved in play and decision making. One of our main goals for our preschool is to help students develop social and emotional skills through play.
What is our class learning environment like?
Preschoolers are active learners! They use the materials and learning opportunities in their environment to explore, solve problems, and learn about the world around them. It’s key to create learning environments that are responsive to children’s differing abilities, interests, and developmental levels. Doing so we are making sure that children are engaging in the learning experiences offered to them. Our learning room spaces are welcoming and sensitive to children’s cultural and linguistic characteristics and foster an effective learning environment. Explore the resources on this page to learn key aspects of preschool learning environments.
What are the preschool meals and snacks like?
Each day will include three breaks for breakfast, snacks, and lunch. We are also following the parent’s directions regarding the special diet for their individual kids such as gluten free, lactose free, vegetarian, etc. Please remember we are a nut free facility at our Bellevue preschool!
What about special needs kids? Bellevue Special Needs Learning.
Our preschool is all inclusive and unique, meaning we accept all children, even those who have varying special needs. No child will be turned away.
We are in partnership with Kindering, an organization who provides teachers for children with special needs. Rainbow Learning Academy is made for each child and parent to feel included and accepted.
How do I choose the right preschool?
You are in for a new adventure the moment your little one learns how to walk, talk, run, and have fun. They want to learn how things work. They ask you why things are the way they are. They will constantly find ways to get out of their comfort zone to experience and explore the bigger world around them. Meet their needs and nourish their learning by choosing the right preschool program.
Our private Bellevue preschool understands that purposeful play is one of the most effective techniques for early education. From creating artwork to conducting science experiments, we carefully design activities that are equally enjoyable and informative for your kids. What is the value of preschool?
Preschool education is all about child development. It encompasses a wide range of significant factors, including brain power, cognitive development, creative expression, language and literacy, physical wellness, and social and emotional wellbeing. The right preschool integrates these aspects into one curriculum.
The Rainbow Learning Academy preschool program has a play-based curriculum for children ages 2 to 5 years old. We create a safe space for your little ones to play and hone their decision-making skills. Our goal is to help your kids develop social and emotional skills by way of play.
What is a community preschool like?
Rainbow Learning Academy is filled with fun, laughter, and “messy” hands-on activities! We want kids to just be kids and simply have fun while learning. Our preschool is an extension of our regular preschool program, fosters self-esteem, builds confidence, teaches respect, and encourages children to take risks to empower their learning. Rainbow Learning Academy provides an opportunity for children, 3 to 5 years of age, to experience and explore different fun filled themed days.
We believe that it takes a village to raise a child, so our program considers the entire community a part of our family. We help you with your little one’s holistic formation.

What Our Families are Saying
My daughter has been at Rainbow Learning Academy for 6 months now and we are very happy with the developmental progress he’s made since. At 2.5 years old, she had a bit of a hard time adjusting to the environment since he had been taken care of my grandma, but the teachers really took their time to make him feel comfortable to the point that he doesn’t want to leave some days! The facility is clean and has a great play area for outside time. The curriculum is perfect for he age and she is learning to trace letter already. We especially like the seasonal activities for holidays and spirit weeks where kids get to dress up. The director is very attentive and easy to talk to. We highly recommend.
Throughout my 2 years of experience, I have always been happy with Rainbow Learning and have virtually no complaints. In my experience, they have well-qualified, competent, conscientious, and kind staff; low staff turnover; good safety and health procedures; excellent communication with parents; pleasant facilities; and a fun, age-appropriate, and educational curriculum. The food at RLA is very good… healthful, varied, and tasty. The outdoor play space is merely satisfactory (IMO). In all other respects, Rainbow exceeds my expectations. I believe I’m a better parent, thanks to Rainbow, in that I’ve adopted some of heir ways for my own parenting toolbox.
We love the little preschool. Our daughter (age 3) was at another private preschool and was doing well but struggled because she is highly spirited and also very dyslexic. She started the year off a little worried about how it was going to go, but the staff and kids made her feel right at home. I continue to believe that this was the best possible move for her. We love the little school and are so glad to be part of this loving community
Great school with outstanding teachers! The curriculum has a great balance of play and learning. The classrooms are bright, clean and large and the outdoor area is a wonderful area for kids to run and play with each other. It’s a safe, nurturing school that really does care about each child and their development. Our son loves going to Rainbow Learning Academy Academy!
As a parent, choosing the right childcare center can make such a difference in my overall peace of mind and happiness. I spent a good deal of time and a lot of stress considering my options and what would be best for me and my little girl. Choosing this center felt so good immediately! It is not the cheapest option ($1.500) you can find but not the most costly either. So even though the cost matters, my child matters more. The people working there are happy and engaging with all kids and my daughter. They really run a great center and you can tell by the overall vibe there and with each of the teachers. Mrs Lily is really one of a kind and the whole experience has really meant so much to me already! We are looking forward to a great year!
