Our food and menus have been approved by the Health Department of King County and Carefully Balanced. In a typical day we serve fresh fruits, veggies, full hot meals and snacks. Most children ages 2 through 5 are still developing proper eating habits. Many kids do not naturally gravitate towards healthy meals and snacks so lots of encouragement may be necessary.
Nutrition part is a very important part of our preschool. In the early years of life, nutrition helps with a variety of things such as brain development, muscle growth, energy and activity levels. Nutrition also aids in the overall learning process.
Tuesday
Breakfast
- Scrambled egg with sausages (1/4 cup)
- Banana (1/2 cup)
- Milk (1/2 cup)
Lunch
- Meatball soup with potato (1/4 cup)
- Banana Broccoli with Carrots (1/4 cup)
- Milk (1/2 cup)
Dessert
- Yogurt (1/2 cup)
- Banana (1/4 cup)
- Grape juice (1/2 cup)
Dinner
- Buckwheat with sliced chicken and gravy (1/4 cup)
- Green beans (1/4 cup)
- White bread (1/2 slice)
- Milk (1/2 cup)
Wednesday
Breakfast
- Yogurt (1/2 cup)
- Raspberries (1/2 cup)
- Milk or apple juice (1/2 cup)
Lunch
- Chicken noodle soup with mixed vegetables (1/4 cup)
- Peas & carrots (1/4 cup)
- Milk (1/2 cup)
Dessert
- Toaste with cheese (1/2 slice)
- Grape (1/2 cup)
- Apple cherry juice (1/2 cup)
Dinner
- Spaghetti with meatballs, yams, cauliflower (1/4 cup)
- Wheat bread (1/2 slice)
- Milk (1/2 cup)
Thursday

- Raisin bran cereal (1/4 cup)
- Blueberries (1/2 cup)
- Milk or grapefruit juice (1/2 cup)

- Pancakes with berries (1.3 in diameter)
